Dennis Seidenberg has become the latest Bruin to join the MASH unit, as he suffered a lacerated tendon in his forearm during Saturday night’s game against Toronto. Seidenberg required surgery, and will be sidelined for the next 8 weeks. As if the injury to Marc Savard wasn’t enough of an obstacle already, the B’s will have to overcome the defensive presence of Seidenberg, who has fit in nicely since being acquired at the trade deadline. Seidenberg paired up with Zdeno Chara, and the two provided a stonewall defense with the ability to snipe from the point.
Chara suffered a broken nose against the Capitals the other night when he was on the wrong end of a high stick. Chara did return to the game, but will need surgery for the damage. He is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow night against Buffalo. The B’s are also without Mark Stuart and Andrew Ference. Not a good time for the injury bug to bite its hardest.

Sorry for the late recap, I had my last final today and had to study my ass off yesterday since I hadn’t looked at the material yet. Not to mention the internet has been down at my house for the last 24 hours… oops, ripping the modem out of my wall probably didn’t help, but hey, that’s why we have local libraries, and that’s where I am currently blogging.
All I got to say is Big Baby!!! What a shot, and even better, what a pass. Paul Pierce (27 pts) made the play happen, as he’s done many times before. The pick and pop looked good all night, and the Celtics have home-court back as they defeated the Orlando Magic, 95-94. The series is knotted at 2, with game 5 tonight in Bean Town.
It wasn’t just the last shot that displayed Glen Davis’ clutch touch. With 32 seconds left, Big Baby hit a big 15-footer that gave the Celts the lead by 1. The Magic responded with 2 free throws from Rashard Lewis (22 pts) to give them the lead with 11 seconds left, and that’s where the real Magic happened. After a Doc Rivers timeout, the Celtics were into their half-court set. Rajon Rondo was bleeding the clock, and I can remember saying that we better get moving here or we’re going to run out of time. As it worked out, Rondo held the ball for just the right amount of time, getting it over to Pierce, and letting Pierce do his thing. The Magic immediately doubled Pierce (how can you blame them), and Davis was left to get a good look from 18 feet. The pass was made, and the rest is history, as Davis knocked down the biggest jumper of his career. Davis capped off his huge night with 21 points, and more importantly, celebrated like the beast that he is as he sent some kid back a few feet with a baby’s touch.
This series is starting to heat up, and we may be in store for another 7-game set. By the way, whats up with the father of the kid who was accidently tossed, are you really demanding that Davis should apologize. C’mon buddy, floor seats are intended for the fans to be right in the action… Davis clearly didn’t do it on purpose, and he should celebrate like a madman considering he just kept his team from going down 3-1.
